Emporio Village – Discover Traditional Santorini

Discover Emporio, one of the most unique traditional villages of Santorini, with its long and winding alleys between old architecture of medieval times.

Take a leisurely walk around the historic streets of the village and view the traditional architecture including the Kasteli, an old fortified settlement in the center of the village, which highlights the history of the island.

The winding alleys of a genuine Greek village in remote countryside can offer their own brand of sightseeing. And there is plenty to see in Emporio.

We continue our journey through the authentic, traditional villages of Santorini to the old village of Pyrgos. The village of Pyrgos is situated on the gentle slopes of Profitis Ilias Mountain.

Whitewashed houses line the narrow streets of the village of Pyrgos, which is home to several churches and enjoys good views from its elevated position.

Stroll through the narrow cobble-stoned lanes and picturesque plazas of the traditional Santorinian village of Pyrgos. Hike to the highest point on the island, Profitis Ilias Mountain, and take in the incredibly scenic and panoramic views from the top.

Looking out from the top of the mountain you can see all the villages of the island, as well as the farms, the vineyards and the blue Aegean Sea.

Get to know the natural environment of Santorini and, in this third stop of your tour, admire the scenery from the highest point of the island, amidst its villages, agricultural areas, vineyards and Aegean Sea.

We continue our tour of this island of breathtaking views and continue to the picturesque Firostefani, near Fira town. This is another of the most stunning locations of the Santorini Caldera.

From the highest point of Firostefani you can appreciate the views of the volcanic cliffs, the Aegean blue and the snow white houses and churches of the island, which from here seem like littletoy houses.
